DYING … EVERYONE’S DOING IT!:
ALL THE THINGS YOU NEVER WANT TO GO UNSAID
Not to make light of a difficult topic, but one of the most challenging transitions we will experience in life is either our own death or the death of a friend or family member. Change is constant, and death is inevitable. What if you had the tools to help you manage this transition more gracefully? What if the best way to take care of your family after you are gone, was to tidy your life up now?
Kathy Bowen, ICF/ACC, is a Coach, Mentor, and Transitions expert who supports families and individuals through challenging transitions. Your life’s journey, including death, can be one of great self-development, compassion, and joy, rather than one of fear, hopelessness, and anxiety. This program allows you to think about, “all the things you never want to go unsaid.”
Kathy will facilitate a graceful & peaceful family dialogue, which will help you navigate the waters to best take care of yourself. Through the use of several tools and information from the Dying in America Report, Kathy helps you navigate the waters to best take care of yourself, your friends and family. What if rather than fear death, you could look it fully in the face, embrace its uncertainty, and celebrate your life?
This is a 2-hour program that will give you a better understanding of how you relate to life and death, empowering you to embrace the transitions of dying with grace.
” It was a very helpful way to initiate the conversation about end of life care with my husband, both as a way for me to think about it and to hear what is important to him. The Gift of Grace cards include many thought-provoking questions, and I hope to review more of them in the future. It would be helpful to have some written recommended follow-up steps, to guide us on continuing the conversation and planning.
“KATHY IS VERY PERCEPTIVE AND SKILLED AT ASKING FOLLOW-UP QUESTIONS TO HELP EXPLORE TOPICS MORE DEEPLY. SHE CREATES A SAFE AND TRUSTING ENVIRONMENT FOR DISCUSSING CHALLENGING QUESTIONS.”
“THANKS, KATHY! I REALLY GOT A LOT OUT OF THIS CLASS ON DYING. YOU HAVE A GREAT WAY OF FACILITATING A GROUP. I’M IMPRESSED BY HOW WELL YOU LISTEN AND THEN ARE ABLE TO ASK PERSONALLY FOCUSED QUESTIONS TO GAIN MORE UNDERSTANDING.”
